WE WELCOME award-winning Nepalese-American author Samrat Upadhyay in honor of the NEA Big Read.
Upadhyay will share his experience as an immigrant writer through his latest collection of short stories Mad Country. The author of seven books including Arresting God in Kathmandu and The Guru of Love, Upadhyay is known for his smart and compelling stories about culture, race, and how those ideas contribute to one's identity. A signing will follow the talk and copies of Upadhyay's novels will be available for purchase.
