Would your child like a patient attentive furry friend to read to? Read to the Dogs provides an opportunity for your child to read to registered therapy dogs in a relaxed atmosphere.
The dogs sit calmly and quietly for a story. Children practice reading out loud and build their fluency and confidence in reading. Serena, Grayson, and Emmie are certified therapy dogs with Love on a Leash and will be here with their handlers Isabel, Joyce, and Sandee.
Join us every Thursday at 3:30 p.m. for lots of afternoon fun designed especially for school-age kids 1st through 5th grade with their parent or caregiver.
Our beautiful, state-of-the-art Main Library opened on January 6, 2008. You’ll find a wide variety of books, movies, and music, as well as free events for all ages. Looking for tech options? We offer free Wifi, dozens of public computers with internet access, and public meeting rooms.
