Robeson Pavilion Room A & BJoin the Brand Hub for a hands-on, how-to workshop on creating quality content for social media.
This event will include four 15-minute presentations led by local business owners and instructors of The Brand Hub. Learn how to:
- Take a Better Photo with Your Smartphone. Learn quick tips and tricks to elevate your phone photography.
- Edit Your Content with Canva. Make pause-worthy posts with this free tool.
- Write the Right Caption. Capture your customer's attention using copy editing techniques and hashtags on different platforms.
- Assess Your Engagement. Answer the question, "How do I know if my post did well?"
After the presentations, join marketing students from UIUC in one-on-one sessions as they break down topics covered in the presentation and demonstrate how to duplicate their techniques for your business.
About the Presenters:
Scott Clanin is the owner and president of Clanin Marketing and has broad experience working closely with businesses of all sizes and non-profit organizations.
Marisa Peacock is the founder and chief strategist of the Strategic Peacock and a full-time lecturer in the Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising at UIUC.
Presented in Partnership with The Hub for Brand Innovation and Advertising Technology. The Brand Hub in the Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising in the College of Media offers opportunities for companies, startups, nonprofits, government, and organizations to work with teams of students to help them meet their advertising and promotional goals. Within a centralized space that connects multidisciplinary collaborations between students, faculty, brands and innovators, the Brand Hub integrates resources for student learning, faculty research, industry partnership and community engagement. The Brand Hub is also a touchpoint for excellence in data-driven strategic brand communication and advertising technology.
