In this workshop, we'll cover fundamentals of video editing using DaVinci Resolve. Follow along as we organize, edit, color correct, and export a video optimized for publishing on YouTube.
We'll cover how to use the timeline efficiently, identify important settings often overlooked, generate and use proxies, synchronize audio, add transitions, mix and level audio, and wrap up with color correction and grading. We'll also explore general video editing best practices that apply to any editing tool, including J cuts vs L cuts, A roll vs B roll, working with multiple cameras, and discovering your unique style.
By the end, you'll be ready to produce your own videos in DaVinci Resolve, whether they're Instagram Reels, documentary films, or anything in between.
Our training materials are intentionally designed to accommodate different learning styles. Everyone who attends will retain access to step-by-step exercises and media files after the workshop, allowing you to revisit the material and practice at your own pace.
