Welcome to Free Comic Book Day 2026!
Come celebrate Free Comic Book Day 2026 with your friends at the Library! Both the Main Library (Children's and Info desks) and Douglass Branch will have free comic books for you to pick up, as long as our supplies last.
From 1–3 pm, we will be hosting local comic book artist and Professor in the University of Illinois School of Art and Design, Stacey Robinson for a presentation and self-directed activity in Robeson Pavilion Room A/B. We will have a photobooth for your superhero or villain needs, so costumes are encouraged!
9 am–6 pm Comic Book Giveaways at Service Desks (while supplies last)
1–3 pm Presentation by Comic Book Artist Stacey Robinson + Activity
