Main Library
The StudioCome learn a new craft every month at Crafty Adults!
This month, the University of Illinois's Rare Book and Manuscript Library (RBML) will join us for a special program commemorating the 150th anniversary of Champaign Public Library. RBML staff will share history on different types of book-binding techniques; you'll then have the chance to make your own commonplace book with a simple sewn binding. No sewing experience necessary!
Registration opens June 1 at 9:00 am (closes June 9). Registration is required.
These workshops are very popular and "sell out" quickly. Here are the details:
- Classes are limited to 40 participants.
- There is a small waitlist in case there are last-minute cancellations.
- Craft supplies are provided.
- Light Refreshments will be provided for "Happy Hour" from 6-6:30 pm.
- Instruction will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.
